Our Beginning

1970s - 1980s

After graduating from UK London School of Pharmacy in 1973, Timothy Chan returned to Hong Kong and started his first trading company. After 8 successful years of trading Pharmaceutical Raw Materials and Medical Finished Products in the China market, the company was sold to a listed Australian Company. Timothy remained as Managing Director for 2 years.

Then in 1989, Timothy and his family moved back to the United Kingdom.

1990’s

Due to the non-compete purchase clause of his first company, Timothy ventured into the local UK market while spending valuable family time. Using his unique blend of technical knowledge, business acumen and leadership skills, Timothy developed the foundation of the forthcoming TCM Healthcare (London) Ltd. head office in London, UK.

In 1997, Timothy returned to Hong Kong to establish the TCM Asia trading offices.

Start of a New Adventure

1998

Timothy Chan and Connie Mak founded TCM Healthcare (London) Ltd. in Hong Kong and China. TCM commenced trading Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients as a Controlled Drugs Specialist; and Finished Products in the medical industry within Hong Kong.

Expanding the TCM organization and Key Milestones

2003

TCM brand name alcohol products were launched.

2005

TCM expands business function by selling hospital surgical instruments.

2007

TCM expands further by distributing Laboratory Chemicals and becoming one of the key inventory market providers in Hong Kong.

2019

TCM brand name surgical instruments were launched.

2020

TCM own modern warehousing and distribution facility was commissioned in Hong Kong, specializing in dangerous drug / controlled drugs & control chemicals storage.

2020

Medical, Surgical and laboratory businesses were incorporated into individual TCM companies to provide more efficient commercial operations.

2022

TCM expands the company footprint in Japan.

2023

TCM achieves a major milestone in celebrating 25 years as a key player covering the whole pharmaceutical, medical, surgical, and chemical supply chain.
